Today has been bittersweet. I took my last final ever today as an undergraduate. History of rock. Pretty easy.

Lisa was in this class with me. She was in my very first college class at Dutchess, it's funny that she was in my very last college class at New Paltz. She is leaving tonight for a last minute trip to Atlantic City with one of her friends. She asked me a hundred times to go with her tonight. She's so spontaneous. I hate spontaneity---but it was nice of her. She told me she was gonna call me before she leaves this evening in case I change my mind. Chances are, my mind won't change. She's too sweet, I'm gonna miss her. *Note to self, keep in touch with Lisa.*

It was sad walking through the campus alone for the very last time, thinking I'll never sit in another boring class in the lecture center again or look for the chipmunks and squirrels that resided in that building, I'll never be near the editing facilities in CSB; no more wandering around alone under the peach colored streetlamps that dimly illuminate the campus at night. Time to move on. Bigger and better things. Carpe diem and all that jazz. Just one step closer to great success is how I see it. Because I will tell you now, I won't stop until I achieve my goals, until I become something great. And I will be, just watch.

A grown up? Yeah, I guess you could call me that now. Technically, an educated grown up continuing on to pursue a higher level of education; don't doubt me when I say I'm a genius, haha. I've matured over these past four years, really coming into my own in the past year or so. I've had my moments of immaturity, we all do. But looking back over the last four years, I am not the same person today as I was then. I'm not even the same person I was a year and a half ago as I am today. I am who I am, take it or leave it; no qualms about it. Cliche in a sense, but so true.

I start graduate school in a month or so. It's a realization that this chapter of my life is now coming to a close. I leave behind a million memories from my undergrad years that I wont ever forget. Friends have come and gone, that's the way life is. To those who have stepped out of my life, there's always the memories. And to those true friends who have stayed, there are so many more memories just waiting to be made. It's time to move on. It's true that pictures never change, just the people in them do. C'est la vie. Maybe our paths will cross again someday; but if they don't, I wish everyone from the bottom of my heart, the best of luck in wherever you go in this great world and with whatever you choose to do in this life.

As for me? I'm New York City bound. Feel free to look me up in a few years.

I'm not going to bother changing my old entries...but from here on out...

yeah i so totally ditched class today and got absolutely nothing accomplished. well, i made a bunch of new icons, such as the one attached to this entry. damn lj for only letting me load 3. anyway, i have such a massive headache and i dont want to go to school at all tomorrow. 4 classes basically all in a row, my this sucks so much. i've been getting a lot of headaches recently, i think its because of my lack of sleep. grrrr...

i really wanna go see a good show. but of course, no one is coming local to my liking. i wanna see taking back sunday, or something corporate, or matchbook romance, senses fail, idk, just a good show. but are any coming around? no. why? because its holiday time and they are not on tour or they are on the damn west coast. grrrr.

in closing for the evening, i do not want to go to school tomorrow, and i want a few good shows to come to the chance. that is all for now. goodnight.

long time no update. i havent had a chance. it sucks, i have so much to update and say and stuff like that, but when i get a chance to update, i just dont feel like getting into it. how terrible is that?

michelle branch concert last thursday was the highlight of my week. it was fun. she put on a great show. and the opening band...dakona...they were awesome. that was a good day.

i bought the new dashboard confessional album the other day. i know, i know, shame on me [right jax?] i like it though, it's pretty good.

im off from classes today, so im going to the mall with jackie! yay! it's not like im gonna buy anything, but at least im getting out...for a few hours. im definitely gonna visit the bunnies at the pet store.

i have been so extremely exhausted today it's not even funny. i had my "intro to comparative politics" class this morning...it's an okay class...the teacher is quite the liberal, but i just keep my mouth shut...i need to do well in it. im just so not into homework at all. i just have no motivation to actually sit down and read 100 pages of stuff that wont register in my mind anyway. for instance, in my "medieval europe" class [which is completely boring and sucks by the way] the teacher gave us a pop quiz yesterday...now i haven't done really any of the readings for this class, so i was like, oh fuck im gonna fail...the "quiz," if you could call it that, was one question and was as follows, "what did the author of the book refer to the germans as in the title of the chapter?" what the fuck is that about??? dont have the gaul to assign 120 something pages of reading and then pop a quiz and ask what the name of the fucking chapter was...that is absolutely ridiculous. i felt bad for all those good students who read the book. and guess what, i only know of one person in the class that answered the question and got it right. meaning the whole class failed. which sucks a lot. even if the quiz was from the reading, i take fairly decent notes on what he's talking about, so i coulda just winged it. and to top it all off, for that class i have a 5-6 page paper due on tuesday...LOVELY! that is all for now.

oh, just one more thing, i got the new john mayer album yesterday...and oh yeah, it rocks, i suggest you all go out and get it...

i havent posted in over a week, which is terrible i know, but with school and everything starting up again...blah is all i need to say about that...but for now, all i have to say is i want to just go to sleep for about a week. thats all for now. i might possibly make a more in depth entry fairly soon because so much is going on and i dont even know where to begin...

oh, and might i also add how upset i am over the fact that something corporate is not playing anywhere decent near me (decent to me is either the chance in poughkeepsie or webster theatre in hartford.) this bothers me greatly. and i have absolutely no life.

i started classes at new paltz yesterday...it was ok...it's not really the same i guess if you dont live there, which depresses me since my sorry ass is a commuter. however there are some pretty boys wandering around. as for classes, my media economics class, comparative politics class and french class are ok...but medieval history or whatever it is, really sucks, and the teacher is not approachable at all...and it's BOOOOOORING. but we shall see how things turn out...i need to do my work and i need to do well in order to get into a good grad school...so im going right now to do my french homework and my reading for politics...im such a good college student...

blah...i just got home...my family and i went to foxwoods for the night...fun times. i played bingo...it's not actually as lame as it sounds, the prizes range from hundreds of dollars to thousands of dollars, and last night they were giving away a car...and i played because im only 20 and there was nothing else for me to do and i didnt win anything anyway. but yeah, i just got in, and im still sick. 5 days later i still have a cold. blah.

on the whole way to foxwoods...like 2 hours or whatever...well more because we stopped a lot...i listened to soco's ready...break over and over...and also audioboxer...it was an old school soco kinda day. im getting more obsessed by the day. so sad. so sad.

anyway, classes start on monday at new paltz. im kinda nervous and kinda dont want summer to end. i like not having to do anything. i hate the fact that schools gonna start and i have actual work to do since there aren't any com classes for me to do. at dutchess it was kinda like a "whatever" attitude about things...and let's face it, i got away with a lot. blah to this.

anyway, im gonna go nurse my cold.

ok, lemme just say, despite the blackout that almost ruined my day yesterday...i had the greatest time of my entire life. the soco show was on, apparently hartford was the only city in connecticut with lights...so after my mom bitching with me about going, and almost coming home like 3 times...we made it to hartford...and the something corporate show rocked! jax, jen and i were right in the pit...like 2nd or 3rd row back...and it completely rocked, i took pictures, i hope they came out...i have to get them developed tomorrow...they played so many great songs...and they played konstantine!!! for jen of course. lol. omg, im so sad it's over. andrew looked totally hot as usual...i absolutely love him...william was nice on the eyes as well...they were just so great. i cant wait for when they go on tour with good charlotte...there's so much more to tell, but ill just have to do it later when i have the time and some pics to post...so until then, ill just say...something corporate rocks live, yesterday had to have been one of the greatest shows i have ever seen...and i cant wait till they come back in october...
